Note: Obituary KARL C KOONTZ Karl C koontz, 74, died yesterday morning at the home of his brother, George Koontz, five and a half miles northeast of Wanatah in Clinton Township. He had been ill a week with pneumonia. He was born in Clinton township Dec 10, 1866. A harnessmaker by trade he he moved to Clinton Township six years ago from South Bend. On Oct 27, 1902 he was married at Union Mills to Mary Gibson, who proceded him in death. He was a member of the Christian church and the Knights of Pythias lodge of South Bend. Surviving are four brothers, George of Clinton township, Pulaski of Soth Bend, John of Burns, Wyo., and Arthur of Gary; three isiters, Mrs Effie Hilton, Hammond; Miss Maggie Koontz, also of Hammond, and Miss Della Koontz, Wanatah. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 at the Kosanke Brothers funeral home at Union Mills. Burial will be in the Union Mills cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
