George, like John H, was from Ohio. At this point I do not have a connection between the two Burdett families. George was born in Dunkirk, Hardin County, Ohio in 1863. His parents were William and Elisabeth Butcher Burdett. William was born in England and Elisabeth was born in VIrginia. Here is the information that I have about the John H Burdett family: Burdett, John H 1900 census Missoula County (Cedar Township) Enumeration District 65 Sheet #5. Born: Ohio 8-1866 (33 yo) Married Elsie Campbell 1-12-1888 (Missoula Marriages Microfilm #A24 - (contact Clerk of Court, Missoula county for copy information). 14 children. Father: Burdett (Ohio) Mother: Mary Barton (Ohio) Children: Maude b.12-1888, Roy b.1-1890, Gorgiana b.10-1891, John Earl b.10-1892, Mattie b.7-1895, Frank b.11-1897, male infant b. 2-1900. Burdett, Elsie Campbell 1900 census (same info) Born: Indiana 3-1867 (33 yo) Father: (Indiana) Mother: (Indiana) I have a copy of the census and I can send it if you would provide a mailing address. Interestingly, George, John and another Burdett, George M (and son, Frank) are found in the same enumeration district on the census. Good luck in your research and let me know if you would like a copy of the census Bob Burdett bobrph@@worldnet.att.net ******************************** Would be glad to share what I have, its not much, this is my sons great grandparents. John Harold Burdette and Mildred Elisabeth " Elsie " born Campbell, her father was Frank Campbell, they had 8 children the last being my mother in law, she was born in 1906 3 months before Elsie died, probably due to child birth. Elsie was born in 1867 in Indiana Mildred my mother in law said La porte. I have'nt worked on this side for a long time, I came to a brick wall in finding where John went, he was born in 1866 in Independence, Jackson, Missouri his mother was Mary Barton. I have their children's name and some of their information if you would like it. Would love to find out more, she always said she was french, Irish and dutch, but she ( My mother in law ) did'nt give me much to go on, and she died in 1992.I have more but would have to look for it.I have that Elsie died 25 Sept 1906 and was buried the 29th in the Missoula City Cemetery, and that they were married 12 Jan 1888 in Missoula. Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you, Eileen Weidner sprewald@@pacifier.com
