Adopted from Children's Home Society in Los Angeles. "Mr. & Mrs. J. E. Yancey today adopted Lena Frances Barbanes, age 9 years from the Orphan's Home in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. [her full name was Magdalena but the Williams only used Lena]."
