  Kearney Daily Hub Friday, July 25, 1930 Page: 8 Section: None Farm Bureau Activities -- Grow Trees Successfully On the farms visited last week, William Mueller of Divide and E.K. Pierson of Thornton are two farmers who are successfully growing trees where it is high and dry. Mr. Mueller has a grove of hackberry trees that are about eight feet tall and Mr. Pierson has elms, pine and maple set out last year and this spring that are doing very well. Both of these men are successful because they are cultivating their trees the same as they would cultivate their corn.

  Kearney Daily Hub Friday, April 21, 1950 Page: 5 Amherst Re-elects Will Mueller Mayor - The Amherst village board met on Tuesday eveing for a re-organization meeting. Will C. Mueller was re-elected the mayor. M.G. Maul was named tresurer and Frank Long was re-chosen as the clerk. New officers currently elected on the board are Norris Albright and Emmett Maul. Ray Own is the newly elected police judge. Other board members are Will Mueller, Fay Catterson and Henry Klingelhaefer.

  Kearney Hub, Oct 18, 1978 Will C Mueller, 73, or Amherst, died at the local hospital Sunday. He was born north of Riverdale. He was a retired produce businessman and creamery and seed corn salesman. He retired in 1976. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Amherst, Lion's Club and Buffalo County Historical Society. Survivors include his wife, Viola, Amherst; son, Carl W., Lincoln; daughter Mona Houser, Hillsboro, Mo.; eight grand children; one great-grandchild; four sister, Frieda Lammers, Pleasanton; Anna Lammers, Storm Lake, Iowa; Hulda Muller and Selma Hinrichs, both of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. At Trinity Lutheran Church of Amherst. Pastor James Wilkens will officiate. Burial will be in Immanuel Cemetery, northwest of Amherst. Memorials are planned to the American Bible Society, or trhe Amherst Emergency Unit. Anderson-Johnson-Horner Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers will be Harvey Maul, Arthur Heins, James Belschner, Raymond Siebke Jr., Harold Wick and Donald Magnuson.
