Mueller, who lives on the southeast quarter section thirty-one, Rusco township, has about a quarter of an acre now two years old that was thrify and green last fall when other pastures were brown and dead.
  Moved to Buffalo Co., NE., about 1890. Charter member, with father-in-law and brother-in-law Wm. Riechmann, of St. Paul's Luth. Ch., Peake, rural Riverdale. Owned land in Rusco Twp. Lived with his wife in a sod house, in 1908 moved into the two-story frame house that still stands (1995) on the farm owned by Rudy Axmann. Wm. applied for citizenship Hamilton Co., NE., Oct 1890, was naturalized in Buffalo Co., 13 Feb 1905. (House was sold at auction, has yet to be moved off the farm.) Marriage certificate given me by Dick Nelson after the death of Edna nee Lammers.

  Tuesday, November 18, 1941 Kearney Daily Hub To Celebrate Golden Wedding Mr and Mrs. William Mueller of Riverdale will observe their fiftieth wedding anniversary Monday, Nov. 24. A service is planned at the St. Paul's Lutheran church for friends of the couple and a dinner at the home for the relatives.
  Kearney Daily Hub Wednesday, November 26, 1941 Page: 3 Section: None Golden Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. William Mueller of Riverdale celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Nov. 24. A service of thanksgiving was held in St. Paul's Lutheran church at 2 pm. In which the Rev. H.W. Robbert, pastor, addressed the jubilants in the English and the Rev. R.M. Lammers of Bellefont, Kan., son-in-law of the couple, spoke in German. Both speakers based their addresses on the 100th Psalm, the text selected by the couple. The children and grandchildren added solemnity to the service with two hymns with Mrs. John G. Lammers, oldest daughter, at the organ. At the close of the service congratulations were extended to the jubilants, who were the recipients of many appropriate gifts. A social evening was spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Mueller and at 6 pm. the children of the honored couple served a delicious wedding dinner to 43 guests. These guests included Mr. and Mrs. William Mueller, the Rev. and Mrs. H.W. Robbert, Mr and Mrs. John G. Lammers, Ruben and Edna, the Rev. and Mrs. R. W. Lammers and Ruth, Mr and Mrs. Ralph Lammers, Rumilda, Martha, Nora, Luella, Robert, Walter and Arlene, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Mueller, Carl and Mona, Hulda, Marie, and Selma Mueller, William Rieckmann, Mrs. Ida Mueller and Elsie, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Scheffel and children, Mr and Mrs. Carl Scheffel, Miss Flora Scheffel, Mr. and Mrs. Ewaldt Lagenhader and Mr. and Mrs. O Hesumann and children. A grandson, Richard Lammers, jr., attending Concordia seminary at St. Louis, Mo., was unable to attend.
  OBIT from Kearney Hub William C. Mueller, 73, prominent farmer who had lived on the same farm six miles north of Riverdale for 52 years, died at his home at 8 o'clock Monday night June 21, 1943. He had worked until June 5. A native of Germany, he came to the United States alone at the age of 17. Surviving are his wife, six daughters, Mrs. John Lammers and Mrs. Ralph Lammers of Pleasanton, Mrs. R. M. Lammers of Nortonville, Kas., Hulda and Marie Mueller of Kearney, Selma Mueller of the home; a son William C. Mueller, jr. of Amherst, and 13 grandchildren. Funeral rites will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the home and at 2:30 p.m. at the Peake church, one and a half miles north of his home. Burial will be in the cemetery near his home.
