a. Note:   According to Gustav Schurdel's chronicle, Christoph was married twice. The names of his wives are not known. From "Dokumentation der Gemeinde Steegen" 1. Heinz Ehlert, living now in Langen,Germany was one of the named provider of family-information. His address should be available from Fritz Folger,the Koordinator of the Steegener Heimatkreisvereinigung. 2. a. As owner of 182 Morgen and 128 Ruten property in Steegen is named in the year 1850 Christoph Ehlert. He got it from Johann Ehlert. b. Gottfried Ehlert owned in the same year 148M.-152R. c. Ephram Ehlert owned 138M-96R and got it from Jakob Ehlert.This citations where found in the volume nbr.22 Steegen (Grundbuch) by "Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preussischer Kulturbesitz" Archivstrasse 12-14,1000 Berlin 53 3. a Gustav Ehlert and his wife Berta Tritschak were deportated into Russia by the russian army and died probably there. b.A Fritz Ehlert is named on a list of died and missed soldiers from the 1. or 2. worldwar.
