Moses first appears on the 1828 assessment list of Wells, blacksmith, residing at French Mills (later Mosherville). Enumerated on the 1830 census, age 20 and under age 30 with a family. Moses appears on the 1830 assessment, but not in 1831, appears again in 1832 and last appears on the 1834 assessment list. Enumerated in Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania in 1850.
