a. Note:   1870 census - Michigan, Tuscola Co., Denmark, p 54. there's a Paul Wickman, 8, in family of Rev. George Bernthal and wife Catherin, age 30. Paul born Canada, 1876 - entered Concordia College, Ft. Wayne 1885 - grad from Concordia Sem, St. Louis 1890 - took call to Cedarburg and Fredonia, WI, served there 13 yrs, also taught for 7 years. 1900 Ozaukee Directoy: "First Evangelic Emanuels Church - Cleveland street. Rev. Paul Wichmann, pastor." 1910 census- at Trinity Lutheran church, Rantoul, now with Hilbert address, near Potter, WI, served there 19 yrs 1920 census - Wickmann 1922 - took call as chaplain and house father at Old People's Home, Monroe, MI. 1926 - took call to small congregation near Ann Arbor. Had a stroke and died while visiting son, teacher George W. in Detroit. Survivors: widow, 7 children, 18 grandchildren. Children: Mrs. Rev. C Gieseler, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Pastor Loeber, Detroit; Mrs. H Kuehn and Teacher G. T. Wichmann, Mrs. E. Krug, and Beatrice and Paul Wichmann.
