  OBITUARY - Kearney Hub, Oct 9, 1984 Josephine (Schukar) Labs died Sunday evening at Mother Hull Home. She was 95. Mrs. Labs was born in Miller and was a lifetime resident of Buffalo County. Survivors are a son, Gerhardt of Amherst; three daughters, Viola Mueller and Erma Axmann, both of Kearney; and Wanda Owen of Riverdale; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Nora Oertwig of Kearney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, who died in 1940; a daughter Velma Hallier, who died in 1983; an infant son; two brothers; a sister; and three grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst. Officiating will be the Rev. Kenneth Hoover, with burial in Immanuel Cemetery, northwest of Amherst. Memorials have been established to the church or Mother Hull Home. Arrangements are being made by Horner-Lieske Mortuary.
