Note: It is believed Alfred left NC with Thomas and James Wilson Jenkins. James Wilson had married his sister, Sally. Land records show both Alfred and James Wilson were in northern Tishomingo Co MS, and Alfred was on the Tishomingo Co 1840 census with James Wilson Jenkins. The TN/MS state line ran near the area of Red Sulphur Springs, Hardin Co TN. By the 1850 census, the TN/MS line issue was resolved and James Wilson is found in Hardin Co, and Alfred in Tishomingo. The Tishomingo/Alcorn county line changed also, and Alfred is found later in Alcorn Co MS.
