  Fremont Daily News, 3/21/1906, p.2, col 6: THREE PIONEERS ARE DEAD, Mrs. Snyder, Jacob Kemp, and Ignatius Wonderly Aged Residents of Seneca County. Jacob Kemp, another pioneer, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ella Barrack, in Eden township, Seneca county, aged 79 years.
  Tiffin Daily Tribune, March 19, 1906, Pg. 8, Col. 3-4: DIED- Kemp- Jacob Kemp, a pioneer resident of this vicinity, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ella Barrick, one mile south of Swander, Sunday evening, March 18, 1906, at 6 o'clock; aged seventy-nine years, the result of paralysis. The deceased was a native of Canada and came to Ohio in 1865 and has been a resident of Seneca county for most of the time since. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Elizabeth Scouten, Tiffin; Mrs. Ella Barrick, residing near Swander; Mrs. Sarah Barrick, of Bloomville; and William Kemp, of Melmore. The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, at one o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Barrick, and interment will be made at Rock Run cemetery. Rev. W.A. Keesy, of this city will officiate.
  Seneca Advertiser newspaper, March 22 1906, pg. 8, col. 3-4: KEMP- Jacob Kemp, an aged resident of Seneca county, died Sunday evening at 6 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ella Barrack, seven miles south-east of Tiffin, with whom he has for some time resided. Death was caused by paralysis. The deceased was aged 78 years, 11 months and 11 days, and was born in Canada. He was twice married and a large number of relatives survive. One of the daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Scanlon, resides in this city. Funeral services at the Barrack home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. A. Keesy of this city, internment in Rock Creek Cemetery.
