Early last August Mr. Sine contracted asthma, but though he received every medical help possible, other complications arose which his system was unable to stand so he gradually weakened until the end came. Mr. Sine was born, in Rawdon Tp., June 15th, 1855, being the youngest son of the late Mr. & Mrs. James Sine. He was thus in his 77th year at the time of his death & was the last survivor of a family of 13 children. He was a man of quiet home-loving disposition & though interested in all public affairs took no active part in them & was a member of the former Methodist Church now known as the United Church. His wife, Miss Theresa Kemp predeceased him about 14 yrs. ago & since then he has made his home principally with this oldest son, William, though several months were spent with a younger son, Everett, who at the time lived nearer Trenton. He is survived by 3 sons & 2 daughters, William of Sidney, Everett & Thomas of Havelock, Mrs. Frank Watson, of Orillia, and Mrs. Geo. Clark, of Toronto. One son, Bidwell died when about 7 yrs. of age, another son, Aaron was killed in the Great War, & one daughter, Mrs. Jas. A. Hill of Montreal died 13 yrs. ago. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. E.B. Sixsmith, who held a short service at the house, & then the cortege proceeded to Wallbridge United Church where he preached a most impressive sermon. During the service Mr. W. Wickson rendered a most appropriate solo "God will take care of him". Interment was made in the family plot in Frankford cemetery. The bearers being Messrs. Percy Westover, Wm. Wickson, Frank Woods, Chas. Fisher, Don Campbell, & Hilton Shorey. Miss Maud Sine of Belleville, a niece, contributed a beautiful wreath of flowers; Mr. & Mrs. T. Irwin, & family, a basket of flowers; Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Sine, a spray. A sad circumstance in connection with the funeral of Dorothy Sine, 6 yr. old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Everett Sine at the same time & in the same grave beside her grandfather. She died early Tuesday morning in Peterboro Hospital & was brought to Frankford for interment. Ontario Death Register # 017264- Benson Sine, Widower, b.
