a. Note:   BLACKBURN, HELEN L., 77, of Mt. Washington, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009. She was a homemaker, former Avon representative, and member of O.E.S. #552, and First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Sid W. Blackburn.
  She is survived by three daughters, Gail Blackburn, Debora Starkey (John), and Teresa Bruce (Martin); four brothers, Bob, David, Floyd and Mitchell Gibson; one sister, Marilyn Smith; along with six grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.
  Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at McFarland- Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial gifts may be made to her church.
