a. Continued:   Mrs. Thelma LaRue Thompson, 72, of Paris Route 3 died Saturday at Jackson-Madison County Hospital, Jackson. A former employee of Paris Manufacturing CO., she was a retired cook at Grove Junior High School. Services were scheduled for 4 PM. today at Ridgeway Morticians with George Archer and Jack Dickerson officiating. Burial was to be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Named as pallbearers were Cleo Hosford, Dale Godwin, Murray Hopkins, Paul Mangrum, Delmar Wright and David Winsett. A native Henry Countian, Mrs. Thompson was born Dec 15, 1913, daughter of the Late Edward 'Ed' Gibson and Katherine Nored Gibson. She was married March 9, 1935, to Hux Thompson, who survives. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Women's Missionary Society. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Faye) Mooney of Paris, and Mrs Maurice (Linda Sue) Clifford of Williston, FLA.; a sister , Mrs. Marjorie Murley of Jackson Miss.: four grandchildren, and a great grandchild. A sister and a brother preceded her in death.
