Note: Miller Belmont Miller L. Belmont, 60, of 1012 10th St., Sparks, died Monday in a San Francisco hospital. The retired railroader had lived in Sparks for many years where he worked as a machinist for the Southern Pacific Railroad. in the railroad. He retired after 38 years of service on the railroad. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists Local No. 705 and was captain of the Volunteer Firemen of Sparks. He was also active in area Boy Scout activities. A native of Sparks, he was born May 17 1908. His parents were John C. Belmont and Kate M. Belmont. Sep 11 1933 he was married in Reno to Madeline Echante. He is survived by his wife Madeline C. Belmont of Sparks; sons, Larry Belmont of Ann Arbor, Mich., Albert Belmont of Sparks, and Robert Lovett of Panter Valley; a daughter, Cecelia Folsom of Sparks; and grandsons, Larry Folsom and Miller Belmont. A funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary. Bisho[ George Moss of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate.
