  Funeral services for James Andrew Jordan, 78, resident of Washington County since before statehood will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, in the Friends Church at Ramona, Oklahoma. The Rev. Ralph Lemmons will officiate. Interment under the direction of The Arnold Moore Funeral Service will be in the Ramona Cemetery.
  His casket escorts will include Frank Parks, Roy Parks, George Hughes., K.J. Moore, Earl Abel and Morgan Freeman.
  Born in Russ County, Texas on May 9, 1878, Mr. Jordan came with his family by covered wagon to Indian Territory settling near Muskogee where he was reared and received his schooling. In 1902 the family moved to a farm near Talala. In 1905 he and the former Miss Cora B. Bible were married and moved to a farm near Ramona. Mr. Jordan's father, John D. Jordan, was the first sheriff of Washington County serving from 1907 to 1911. Mr. Jordan farmed all of his life and had spent much time as a rancher in this vicinity.
  Surviving Mr. Jordan, in addition to his wife of the home are: one daughter, Mrs. Paul Buck, Pawhuska; one son, Buck Jordan, Ramona; two brothers Henry Jordan, Bartlesville and Sid Jordan of Los Angles, California; to half brothers, Charles Jordan, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Haskell Jordan, Denver, Colorado; three half sisters and three grandchildren.
  Mr. Jordan died at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday following a lingering illness.
