  My Aunt Gina married Mateo in Italy. Mateo was a widower. He was bo rn in South America where he owned land and houses in Argentina. He a nd my Aunt Gina came to America after WWII and lived in Elko where my au nt worked in housekeeping at the Ranch Inn and my uncle worked for Southe rn Pacific Railraod They returned to Italy in 1950 but came back to Ameri ca shortly thereafter, moving to San Francisco where they both worked in t he floral hot-houses. They remained for five years and then returned to t heir home in Lammari, Italy where they both passed away years later. I w as born in their home in Lammari, but in 1950 they split their large ho me and made two apartments. Mateo had lost his wealth during WWII.
