  Angela or Angelina as she was called, went to school in a convent school u ntil the age of eight. Then she went to work in a silk worm factory to he lp her family. When she was 24 years old her brother Aladino, who was vis iting in Italy with his family , brought her to America as a tourist. S he met Guglielmo Cosci and after on week they were married in Reno, Nevad a. However, neither of them was a U.S. citizen so when her visitor's vi sa expired she had to return to Italy. She was pregnant at that time a nd gave birth to Iolanda in Italy. Angelina had come into America that fi rst time by way of Ellis Island. My uncle had to post a $500.00 bond at t he time to assure that she would return to her native country when her ye ar was up. She went home to live with her mother and father until her hus band came to bring her and Iolanda to America in 1933 on the "Rex". Th is time they had a regular visa and could remain in America. She lived with my father, who worked for Southern Pacific RR. For about f our years they lived on an extra gang moving often. When another child, E laine came along, she was born in Reno, Nevada at Saint Mary's Hospit al in 1935. When Iolanda was six years old they moved to Thisbe and then to Elko and e ventually back to Reno. Angelina was a loving mother, grandmother, gre at grandmother and great great grandmother. Angelina passed away in June of 1991 at the age of 84 years. She had be en a widow since 1975. She is buried in the cemetery, "Our Mother of Sorr ow" in Reno, Nevada next to her husband.
