a. Note:   Mrs. A. G. Powers Dies at Home in Belle Fourche
  Belle Fourche Post.-"-Funeral services for Mrs. A.G. Powers who passed away at her home in this city at 12:30 Sunday noon were held at the Catholic Church at 10:00 o'clock Tuesday morning. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery, the Revd. Father Walsh preaching the funeral sermon. Death came to Mrs. Powers after a lingering illness, extending over a period of nearly six months. Shortly after the first of the month she fell and close relatives were called to her bedside. All of the children were with her at the time of her death, Sunday morning. Mrs. Powers was born March 3, 1864 at Galena, Illinois. At the age of ten she moved with her parents to Martinsburg, Nebraska, near Sioux City. She was united in marriage to A. G. Powers at Ponca, Nebraska on November 26, 1882. They moved to Rapid City in 1907. In 1917, they moved with their family to Belle Fourche where they have lived since. Mrs. Powers leaves to mourn her bereavement, her husband, her daughters, Marion and Winifred and three sons, Hubert of Sturgis. Dr. F. I. Powers, and Arthur Powers. A brother, Richard Sweeney, Lavinia, S. D. also survives her. The deceased was well known in Belle Fourche and prior to her death took an active part in community activities and the work of the church.
