  Charles Bennett was the son of William and Apia Bennett. Charles lived in Chenango Co. 1810 to 1830s when he moved to Franklinville, Cattaraugus Co ., NY where he lived from 1830s to 1855. His last move was to Madison, Buchanan Co., IA on 25 Jun 1855 where he is listed in censuses of 1860 and 1870 except for a period 1877 to 1888 when he was in Correctionville, Woodbury Co., IA. He married 18 Feb, 1831 in Cattaraugus Co. to Eunice M. Barber who died 14 Sep 1869. He married again and that wife died March 1877. He died 6 Nov 1891 at 81. His oldest child was Martha A. Bennett who married George P. Conrad with whom she had Alveretta who married Chester Barber, a nephew of Eunice and son of Avery Barber.
