Notes
a. Note:   A. G. Powers Dies Suddenly at Belle Fourche "A. G. Powers, father of Herbert Powers of this city, died suddenly at Belle Fourche Monday. Mr. Powers, several months ago was seriously ill with heart trouble and death Monday was due to a reoccurrence of the same trouble. Mr. Powers was driving along in an auto accompanied by another man. He was driving at a slow rate of speed when suddenly he collapsed, and in so doing pressed the gas lever down. The car immediately started gaining speed. The man riding with Mr. Powers, turned the car into a railing along the Belle Fourche river and thus stopped the car. A. G. Powers has been connected with the Powers Auto County. in Sturgis for several years, and is well known in this locality. As far as is known now the funeral services will probably be held Friday at Belle Fourche." Black Hills Pioneer January 5, 1933.
