Note: til he reached his legal majority. After his marriage he moved to the farm he now occupies near Banning containing one hundred and thirty- seven acres and in 1890 purchased the same property. He conducts general farming operations, specializing in dairying, have a fine herd of Guernsey cattle. He is Democrat in politics, has served two terms as tax collector and filled other township offices. He belongs with his wife to the Methodist Episcopal church. He married, in 1870, Naomi Hagerman , born 1853, daughter of George and Hannah (Schauger) Hagerman, he is a carpenter and farmer, who lived near Banning. Children: 1. Wimam Albert, born August 16, 1874, married Clara Ginder. 2. Mabel, born February 29, 1876, married Robert Cooper, a painter of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. 3. Edward, born 1880, married Lelia Grey and lives in Banning. 5. Dessie, born 1882; married _ Robertson, a school teacher, deceased. 6. Goldie, born 1884; married Percy Willis of Belle Vernon , Pennsylvania. 7. Grace, born June 1888 a school teacher, residing at home. 8. Nellie, born 1890, a school teacher residing at home."
