Notes
a. Note:   N7 Things I (Allan Rauner) remember most about Archie: (June 8, 2003) Always wore arm garter's on his shirt sleeves. Was a very fancy dresser. Drove a 1960 Chevy convertible (white with red interior). Got caught speeding down Outer Drive at 90mph in his Chevy convertible @@ ae75. Bet on the horses. Had a bookie to bet on the numbers. Came over on Thanksgiving morning and made the Thanksgiving turkey and dressing with lots of sage. Got married to Anne Klien at the age of 80!!! Met Anne on a boat cruise thru the Great Lakes. Worked at a small tool and die shop on Telegraph Rd. (Motorama) till he was 86 years old. Loved to smoke cigars. Told us he was fired from Ford for getting in a fight with his foreman. Hated the union because they promoted laziness. Said he worked for all the major car companies in Detroit in his life. Said he taught at Henry Ford Trade School (Ford Archives does NOT confirm this). Came live with us on Anne Street when I was a kid after Grandma Kemp died. He always watched the evening news on TV. Helped be make a wooden boat and helped weld my motorized bike -Had R. Penhaligon, Baltic PO, Houghton, MI in his address book when he left England
Truro Cathedral bult 1898 to 1910. Archie left for the USA on April 1910. Did he leave to find work -Archie had a WW1 draft card June 5, 1917 - 2052 Brush St., Detroit, ae29, toolmaker, Ford Motor Co., Detroit, MI -Archie had a WW2 draft card dated April 1942 - worked at Continental Motors Corp.
-Left Denver between 1912 and 1914, did he leave after his aunt died in 1914 who was married to Wm. Crebo. Married Florence in 1916 so he probably left before 1914
