a. Note:   as born in Newville, AL, on Oct. 13, 1925, the son of Cowan E. Woodham and Minnie E Brannan.
  He married the love of his life Ursula Ina Tunstall in 1949. They were devoted partners until her death in 1997. Mr. Woodham's sister, Evelyn Buntin Prine; brothers, Samuel R. Woodham and Earl G. Buntin, preceded him in death.
  To carry on his wisdom and principles, he leaves a daughter, Ursula W. Sweeny (Greg); sons, Dr. Branan D. Woodham (Jeffie); Brian T. Woodham (Michelle); Keith B. Woodham (Carmen); sister, Elizabeth Ann Cheeseman; nine grandchildren, Brian T. Woodham, Jr.; Brannan D. Woodham, III (Amy); Jeremy R. Woodham; Dr. Alexandra W. Brown (Luke); John E. Woodham; Christopher R. Woodham; G. Shane Sweeny; Connor D. Sweeny; Collin R. Sweeny; and great-grandson, Brayden C. Brown.
  He began his work career at Brookley AFB as a 16-yr-old mechanic. After his service in the Army as an aviation cadet, he attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and a SEC champion wrestler. After earning a Bachelor of Industrial Management in 1949, he returned to Brookley AFB to begin his professional career as a civil servant and continued his service at Kelly AFB, ending his career as Chief of Avionics Division at Robins AFB.
  Mr. Woodham counted among his many blessings the members of Ashland Place UMC; the good friends with whom he played golf and enjoyed the supper club; and the privilege of cheering his Auburn Tigers for more than sixty years.
  Funeral services will be held at Ashland Place UMC Sat., Feb. 13, 2010 at 2 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. Interment will be in Mauvilla Cemetery. Arrangements are by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Dauphin Street Ext., Mobile, Alabama 36606.
