  She loved to cook, but hated to sew. Bail Gaigley was the family seamstress. In 1915 they took their 4 kids to visit her parents in IA. The Liberty Bell was on it's trip home from the CA World Fair, on an "open flat car". They went to a Lumberman's Convention in Kansas City, and left the kids with Purple Martin, a trusted friend. They brought back gifts of dresses and hats.
