Joseph Eck is listed as enlisting in Company G, Virginia Infantry, Local Defence on 15th December 1863 and is also listed as being in 2nd Battalion, Infantry, Local Defence (Waller's Battalion or Quartermaster Battalion). I will have to do more research.
