Notes
a. Note:   Godfather was Heinrich Eck. Witnessed by Georg Besska and Johann Haas (both of Rineck).
Two grandsons were living with Ludwig "Louis" and his wife Elmira in 1900: Bernard (born September 1889) and Samuel "Sammy"? Toal (born January 1893). Both were born in Pennsylvania, father born in Ireland and mother born in Pennsylvania. Another grandson Louis Toal (born April 1889) was in the House of Refuse for Boys for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The 1910 census lists four grandsons, Louis (born circa 1889), Bernard (born circa 1891), Francis (born circa 1893) and Henry Toal (born circa 1894). All born in Pennsylvania, father born in Ireland, mother born in Pennsylvania. These were probably the sons of Kate, but possibly Serena.
