  GEORGE A. HARVEY DEAD
  "Well Known Citizen Falls to Rally from Serious Operation"
  George Augustus Harvey 54 died at his home at 2108 North D Street Sunday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock. Last Thursday night he underwent an emergency operation for appendictis and although conditions were against recovery he was better for a time but was unable to rally from the ordeal.
  Mr. Harvey was born in Hamilton County and lived in that community and in Tipton County until twenty eight years ago when he removed to this city. He was married in 1895 to Miss Ola Waymire who with four of his five children survive. They are Kennth, Howard, Sherrill and Norman, all at home. He leaves two brothers Elmer of Tipton and Alpheus of Anderson. He was for the past seven years custodian of school buildings and grounds and was a competent and well liked employee. In respect to him all of the schools of the city will be dismissed tomarrow afternoon. He was a member of the men's bible class of the Christian Church and affiliated with the Independent Order of Foresters and the Knights and Ladies of Security.
  The funeral services will be conducted at the East Main Street Christian Church tomarrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. S. A. Mow, Wesleyan Methodist minister and the burial will be in the City Cemetery, probably in charge of the Foresters.
