Thurston's Company First Ohio Regiment, who was wounded at the late battle of Pittsburg Landing, died on a steamboat on which he was being taken to the hospital at Saint Louis. A brother of the deceased started for Saint Louis a few days since expecting to find him at the hospital but learned on arriving there of his death and burial. He was not able to find the body which had been interred at some point on the way. The deceased was a young man who left home to fight the battles of the country, actuated by the highest motives of patriotism and has fallen like a brave soldier in a glorious cause. He was a son of Mr. John Waymire, a well known citizen of Butler Township in this County.
