a. Note:   Forrest D. Waymire
  Forrest D. Waymire, 77, of Anderson, died March 8, 2003, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, following an extended illness.
  He was born May 8, 1925, in Elwood and was lifelong resident of this area.
  He was a veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
  In 1979, he retired from Guide Lamp Div. of General Motors, after 33 years of employment as a fork truck operator. He was a reserve officer with the Elwood, Edgewood and Lapel Police Departments and had also worked as a security guard.
  He was a member of the Lapel Masonic Lodge 625; the Order of Eastern Star - Solar Lodge 604 and was a volunteer with the Madison County Red Cross.
  Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Linda (Walker) Waymire of Anderson; a son, Nick (wife, Beth) Waymire of Indianapolis; a daughter, Vicki (husband, Gary) Martini of Yorktown; six grandsons; a great-grandson; three nieces and a nephew. Also surviving are many special friends and neighbors; and three special family pets, Penny Sue, Rusty and Midnight.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hazel (Hancock) Waymire; a brother, Melvin Waymire, and a sister, Eileen Moore.
  Cremation will take place. There will be no service nor visitation.
  Memorial contributions may be mailed to the American Red Cross, Madison County Chapter, 915 Chase St., Anderson, IN - 46016; or to the Humane Society of Madison County, P. O. Box 637, Anderson, IN - 46018.
