Note: Sarah "Frances" Ball, age 87, of Elwood, passed away on December 23, 2012, at Community Parkview Care Center in Elwood, following an extended illness. Frances was born on September 15, 1925, to Harry and Bertha (Benedict) Karch in Elwood. She married Charles C. Ball on Aug. 24th, 1946, and he passed away on July 1st, 2006. She retired from Delco Remy after 30 years of service, member of the UAW #662 and Solid Rock Full Gospel Ministries in Elwood.
Sarah is survived by: Daughter - Anna & (Jeff) Shope of Elwood 3 Sons - Jeff & (Carol) Ball of Elwood, Bruce Ball of Chicago, and Brian & (Robin) Ball of Elwood Grandchildren- Jeremy & Lisa Ball, Nick Ball, Holly & (Josh) Ball-Urban, Jordan & Jessica Ball, Brent & (Jenni) Caldwell, Beth & Tyler Caldwell Great Grandchildren- Jackson Urban, Riley & Dedra Ramones Sister- Dorothy Carmine of Elwood Several nieces & nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers George, John, Merle, Ed, Harry, and Harold Karch, sister Marjorie Galloway.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 27th, 2012, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28th, 2012, at 11:00 am at the Dunnichay Funeral Home, Rev. Ron Becker, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Sunset Memorial Park.
