  LONG LIFE SPENT HERE
"Mrs. Waymire Died at Home of Daughter Where She Was Guest"
  ONE OF EARLY PIONEERS
A brief telegram this morning brought the sad news of the death of Mrs.Talethia Waymire, wife of Charles Waymire which occurred yesterday at the home of her daughter Mrs.Sarah Houser in Cleveland,Oklahoma. About two months ago Mrs.Waymire went in the hopes of restoring her health which was fast failing. Word received from there was very hopeful at first and none of the relatives realized the serious condition of the deceased until the sad news was received today. Mrs.Waymire was nearing her seventieth birthday and had spent practically all of her long life in this city and vicinity, being one of the oldest of the pioneers. Prior to her marriage she was Miss Talethia Jackson and a relative of Judge Jackson of New Castle. After being married she moved to the Waymire farm north of the city where they lived until a short time ago when wishing to retire the farm was sold. Mrs.Waymire was a good Christian woman and was loved by the entire neighborhood in which she lived. Mr.Waymire is one of the most prominent farmers in this vicinity and is known to almost everyone in the city. He is a veteran of the Civil War,having served practically all of the four years. Besides her husband and numerous friends and relatives Mrs.Waymire is survived by seven children Elliott, Erastus, Monroe, Span and Clarence Waymire and Mrs. Monta Hancher of this vicinity and Mrs.Sarah Houser of Cleveland,Oklahoma. Pending the retire of the remains, accompanied by Mr.Waymire and the daughter,no arrangements have been made for the funeral and these will be announced later. The sad party will return tomorrow evening arriving here over the Lake Erie at 8:15.
