Note: Grover F. Waymire, 77, 1214 W. 16th, was dead on arrival at Ball Hospital this morning after suffering an apparent heart attack in front of his home.
Mr. Waymire was a contract hauler for the circulation department of the Evening Press and Muncie Star. He had been employed by the Star for 50 years and was also a contract hauler for the local postoffice.
He was born in Reed Station and had lived in Muncie and Delaware County his entire life. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge, Eagles Lodge and Junior Order of American Mechanics.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Holace (Mildred) Skeel; a grandson, Donald Skeel; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Forest and George Waymire, and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Duffy, all of Muncie.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Parson Mortuary with Rev. Keith Davis, pastor of Avondale Methodist Church, officiating. burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Callers will be received at the mortuary from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and prior to the services Saturday.
