Note: Anderson - Wilma Jane (Waymire) Abbott, 86, Anderson, passed away January 29, 2010 at Meadowbrooke Rehab Center.
She was born June 14, 1923 in Elwood, Indiana, and resided in Madison County most of her life.
Wilma was a homemaker.
She was a lifelong member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.
She is survived by her children, Larry & wife Sonja Abbott of Anderson, Tony & wife Patricia Abbott of Indianapolis and Randy & wife Amy Abbott of Newburgh; siblings, Robert Waymire of Gas City and Mildred O'Haver of Noblesville; five grandchildren, Laura Green, Troy Abbott, Haley Abbott, Tyler Abbott and Alexander Abbott; five great-grandchildren, Austin Green, Mitchell Green, Zachary Abbott, Peyton Abbott and Jonathan Abbott; several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are many special friends at Southdale Towers.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Abbott in November of 1982; parents, Lee & Suzanna (Gifford) Waymire and sister, Edna Sheffel.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Meadowbrooke Rehab Center for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Monday, February 1, 2010 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson.
Services will be Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home, south chapel with Rev. Paul Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Forrestville Cemetery-Summitville.
