a. Note:   Andrew and his family, along with most of his descendents are buried in the Hoover-Bulla Cemetery. It is located north of Richmond, IN on Cart Road (also called Sylvan Nook Drive) a mile or so east off Rte. 27, north.
  A monument erected by their descendents and dedicated by the Richmond, IN chapter of the DAR, May 27, 1928 stands at the entrance to the cemetery. It has the following inscription: In memory of Andrew Hoover and his wife, Elizabeth Waymire Hoover, Patriots of the Revolutionary War, who settled in Wayne County in 1806 and were the parents of Mary Hoover Newman, Elizabeth Hoover Bulla, David Hoover, who laid out and named the city of Richmond, Frederick Hoover, Susannah Hoover Wright, Henry Hoover, Rebecca Hoover Julian, Andrew Hoover, Catherine Hoover McLane, Sarah Hoover Sanders.
  Elizabeth and Andrew, along with his brother Jonas, were part of the original membership of the Back Creek MM, Randolph County, NC.
