Note: Crawfordsville Weekly Friday, Novemeber 23, 1894 Last Saturday night about 9 o'clock Wm. Fouts, while hauling fodder for the corn shucker at Squire Rusk's met with a horrible death. His team became frightened and in trying to stop them he fell under the wagon and was struck by both wheels. He was carried to the house where he died Sunday morning. Mr. Fouts was a good Christian an and loved by all who knew him. The funeral took place Tuesday at 10 o'clock at the Baptist church by Rev. Sprainhour. The body was laid to rest in the Masonic cemetery, west of town.
