Note: Rensselaer Republican Mon. Eve., 24 Nov. 1924, pg. 1, col. 3 Mrs. Robert Michael Answers Death's Call Well Known and Highly Respected Lady Dies Following Paralytic Stroke. Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Michael, wife of Robert Michael of this city, passed away at her home on Home avenue at 7:15 o'clock Sunday night, her death coming after three months of illness from diabetes, a disease from which she had been a chronic sufferer for several years. Her death was hastened by a stroke of paralysis which came to her Saturday. Mrs. Michael was almost 71 years of age, having been born in Jasper county, December 10, 1853, a daughter of John and Mary Jane Waymire. On March 9, 1880, she was united in marriage to Robert Michael, to which union five sons were born, two of whom survive her. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church, with which faith she united when a young girl, and through her life she lived true to the teachings of that church. The surviving relatives are besides the husband, two sons, Vern Michael of Walker township and Gaylord Michael of Roslelawn, and two brothers, Daniel and Fred Waymire of this city. Three sons, Charles F., Albert and Judson Michael preceded her to the Great Beyond. The funeral services will be conducted from the late residence at one o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
