ELWOOD LADY DIES FRIDAY AT HOSPITAL
Mrs. Nellie B. McDermit 75, route 1 Elwood died Friday evening at 6:45 o'clock at the Mercy Hospital after several days illness.
Born Jan 16, 1890 in Madison County she was the daughter of John D. and Nettie Jane Jarrett Harting. She was married to Daniel E. McDermit March 3, 1908. She was a member of the Friends Church and of the Ladies Aid of the church. Survivors include the husband, two daughters Mrs. Bryan Pitman of Eaton and Mrs. Ben Stout of Lakeville, a son Hugh of near Elwood, two brothers Raymond Harting and Kenneth Harting Sr., of Elwood, a foster sister Mrs. Roy Justice of near Elwood, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The body is at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home were friends may call afternoon on Sunday. Funeral rites will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home, Rev. Sterrett L Nash will officiate. Burial will be made in the Forrestville cemetery.
