  Mathias MacPherson & wife To Andrew Miller This Indenture made the fifth day of February Anno Domino one thousand eight hundred and fourteen Between Mathias MacPherson of Buffalo Township Union County & State of Pennsylvania yeoman & Jane his wife of the one part and Andrew Miller of the same place mason of the other part Witnesseth that the said Mathias MacPherson & Jane his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand well and truly paid or secured to be paid by the said Andrew Miller, at and before the Execution thereof the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted, bargained, sold, released and confirmed and by these presents Do grant, bargain, sell, release and confirm unto the said Andrew Miller his heirs and assigns all that certain piece, parcel or tract of lands situate lying and being in the Township County & State aforesaid bounded and described by the following lines & courses to wit. Beginning at a post in a line of C. Vangundy's land thence by the same North twenty four degrees East thirty eight perches and five tenths to a pine thence by the same North twenty two degrees West sixty six perches to a post forming a Hickory thence by land sates of C. Barchman's North sixty eight degrees East twenty five perches & five tenths to a w-oAR thence by land now or late of said Mathias MacPherson's South twenty two degrees East fifty perches & three tenths to a post thence by the same North Sixty eight degrees East thirty five perches & three tenths to a post in a line now or late of Joseph Heister's lands thence by the same South twenty two degrees East forty two perches & seven tenths to a post thence by land intended to be granted to Philip Widner, South sixty eight degrees West eighty nine perches to the place of BEGINNING containing Twenty six acres and one half of an acre & sixteen perches of land. Neat measure # Being part and parcel of a large tract of land containing one hundred and thirty eight acres & allowance being the same more or less, which Catharine Reas, John MacPherson & Adam Christ by their certain Indenture bearing date the eleventh day of November Anno Domino one thousand eight hundred and seven for the consideration therein mentioned granted, sold, and confirmed unto Mathias MacPherson party thereto and to his heirs & assigns as in and by said Indenture intended to be recorded reference thereunto being and may be had more fully and at large appears # TOGETHER with all and singular the rights liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances. Whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents & issues and profits thereof and all the estate rights title, interest use trust property, possessions, claims and demand whatsoever same to have & to hold the said above described piece, parcel or tract of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Andrew Miller his heirs & assigns to the only proper user benefit and behoof of him the said Andrew Miller, his heirs and assigns forever and the said Mathias MacPherson for himself and his heirs Doth covenant, grant and agree to and with the said Andrew Miller , his heirs and assigns this he the said Mathias MacPherson the said above described piece, parcel or tract of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted, meant, mentioned or intends so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Andrew Miller his heirs and assigns against him the said Mathias MacPherson and his heirs and against all and every other person and persons whosoever lawfully claiming or to claim (the same or any part thereof) by from or under him them or any of them shall and will WARRANT and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents hereunto interchangeably their hands an seals have set the day and year first above written Mathias MacPherson SEAL Jane MacPherson SEAL . Sealed and Delivered in the presence of Jonathan Spyker, Henry Spyker Received on the day of the date of the above written Indenture of the above named Andrew Miller the sum of five hundred Dollars like money above said in full for the consideration money above mentioned & Mathias MacPherson Witness present at signing Jonathan Spyker, Henry Spyker, Union County before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the said County personally came the above named Mathias MacPherson, & Jane his wife and acknowledged the above written indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such according to law. She the said Jane being of full age privately and apart from her said husband by me examined she voluntarily thereunto consenting the contents thereof being first made known unto her in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the fifth day of February AD 1814 Henry Spyker.   Mathias MacPherson & wife To Peter Moyer This Indenture made the fifth day of February Anno Domino one thousand eight hundred & fourteen. Between Mathias MacPherson of Buffalo Township Union County and State of Pennsylvania yeoman & Jane his wife of the one part and Peter Moyer of the same place & distiller of the other part, witnesseth that the said Mathias MacPherson & Jane his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand well and truly paid by the said Peter Moyer at and before the Execution hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, released and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, release and confirm unto the said Peter Moyer his heirs and assigns all that certain piece or parcel or tract of land situate lying and being in the Township County and State aforesaid. Bounden and described by the following line and survey to wit Beginning at a pine a corner of Peter Wildner's land thence a by the same North sixty eight degrees East fifty six perches to a stone a corner of said Peter Wildner's land thence South twenty two degrees East forty perches to a post by landnow or late of the said Mathias MacPherson thence South forty seven degrees west twenty perches to a post thence by other lands North sixty one degrees West sixty perches to the place of the Beginning containing ten acres of land letter allowance Being part and parcel of a larger tract containing one hundred and thirty eight acres and allowance be the same more or less which Catharine Rees, John MacPherson, Adam Christ by their certain Indenture bearing date the eleventh day of November AD one thousand eight hundred and seven for the consideration therein mentioned granted, sold and confirmed unto Mathias MacPherson party hereto and to his heirs and assigns forever and by the said Indenture intended to be recorded reference thereunto being and may be had more fully and at large appear Together with all and singular the rights, liberties, privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining andthe reversions and remainders unto issues and profits thereof and all the Estate rights title interest use trust property possession claim & demand whatsoever of them the said Mathias MacPherson & Jane his wife of in to or out of the same To have and to hold the said above described piece or parcel or tract of land hereditaments & premises hereby granted meant, mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Peter Moyer his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Peter Moyer his heirs and assigns forever.   John Buyers This Indenture made the seventeenth day of April in the year of our Lord Deed to One thousand eight hundred andeleven, Between John Buyers of the borough Mathias MacPherson of Sunbury in the County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania esquire of the one part and Mathias MacPherson of East Buffalo township in the County and State aforesaid yeoman of the other part witnesseth that the said John Buyers for and in consideration of eighty dollars lawful money of the state aforesaid to him in hand paid by the said Mathias MacPherson at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged, And by these presents Doth grant, bargain, sell, alien release and confirm unto the said Mathias MacPherson and to his heirs and assigns all that certain Island called "St Johns" situate in the west branch of Susquehanna opposite to John Lee's land in east Buffalo Township in the County of Northumberland aforesaid bounded and described as follows Beginning at a lower point of said Island thence running up the said river North fifty degrees West twenty eight perches North thirty degrees west eight perches and a quarter North seventeen degrees west nine perches and a half to the upper point, thence running down the river South sixty one degrees east nine perches and quarter South fifty-three degrees east eight perches and quarter and South thirty degrees east twenty-eight perches to the beginning containing one acre and eighty perches [It being the same Island which the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by patent bearing date the twentieth day of November in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and four for the consideration therein mentioned granted and confirmed the same with the appurtenances unto the said John Buyers and to his heirs and assigns party hereto in fee as by the said recited patent enrolled in the roll office for the State of Pennsylvania in patent Book No#55 page 136 at large will appear] Together with all and singular the rights Liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders unto issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said John Buyers in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of in to or out of the same to have and to hold the said above described Island containing one acre and eighty perches hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Mathias MacPherson his heirs and assigns To the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Mathias MacPherson his heirs and assigns forever And the said John Buyers for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Mathias MacPherson his heirs and assigns by these presents That he the said John Buyers and his heirs the said herein before mentioned and described Island cal- led "St Johns" containing one acre and eighty perches hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended So to be with the appurtenances unto the said Mathias MacPherson or his heirs and assigns against him the said John Buyers and his heirs and against all and every other person and person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said John Buyers hath hereunto set his hand and seal dated the day and year first above written Jn Buyers SS Sealed & Delivered in the presence of us NB the erasure where the name of Mathias MacPherson name is inserted was made before signing Sarah Buyers.
