a. Note:   N6515 SILVERWOOD, Carroll H., 88, fell into the arms of Jesus and ascended into heaven April 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Kermit J. Silverwood; her mother, Leam F. Haywood; her father, James B. Haywood; and her sister, Beth R. Haywood. She is survived by her children, Jim, Nancy, Jack and Allan; grand-children, Emily, Valerie, Mark and Randy; daughters-in-law, Marty, Gail and Karen; sister, Ann Power; and nephew, Charles Power and wife, Daniela. Carroll was born October 6, 1922, in Hopewell, Va. She graduated with honors from Polytechnic High School in Riverside, Calif., in 1939. She attended Riverside Junior College with an emphasis on dance. Carroll and Kerm were married in 1946, and shared 59 loving years. She was an executive secretary prior to her becoming a great army wife for 30 years. Carroll was active in bible studies at Forest Hills United Methodist Church and was deeply involved in her children's school and sports activities. She loved to read and re-kindled her love of dance through line dancing at University Village. Carroll's kindness, loving spirit and comforting smile were a blessing to others.
