Note: N3858 The Columbus Dispatch, Oct 6, 2010: SILVERWOOD Reynetta Joy (Yerian) Silverwood, age 94, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010 after a long and wonderful life. She was born on January 30, 1916 in Mount Vernon to David Wallace and Helen Mildred (Sharpnack) Yerian. A lifelong resident of Mount Vernon and the First Christian Church, she was also a member of the Ohio Eastern Star, Knox Chapter 236 for more than 70 years. A graduate of Mount Vernon High School and Mount Vernon Business School, she retired as personnel director at the Mount Vernon State Hospital in 1978. Reynetta loved her family foremost and was an avid bridge player, played beautiful piano and enjoyed golfing. She was a loving, graceful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Reynetta was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Chester "Chet" Silverwood in 1994, aforementioned parents and her brother Jack Curtis Yerian. Surviving are a son, David G. (Kay Liane) Silverwood of Champaign, Illinois; a daughter, Karen A. Silverwood of Sunbury, Ohio; and daughter, Linda L. (William) Casto of Elkton, Kentucky. She also leaves to remember her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at DILLEY-LASATER FUNERAL HOME, 212 N. Main Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio with Pastor Ben McKinstry officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery. An Eastern Star service by the Knox Chapter 236 will start the funeral service at 1:30 p.m.
