  Eleanor Ellender McPherson was the daughter of Alexander McPherson Sr. and Rebeckah Brownfield. In some records her first name is Ellender and in others it is Eleanor. Eleanor is likely a nickname for Ellender. Her father, Alexander McPherson, was a patriot of the American Revolution and his DAR number is A076357. Her siblings include Hannah McPherson b. 15 Apr 1782, Mark McPherson b. 4 Oct 1784, Robert Nathaniel McPherson b. 18 Oct 1788, Elizabeth McPherson b. 8 Jan 1791?, Charles Brownfield McPherson b. 23 Feb 1793, Alexander McPherson Jr. b. 20 Aug 1798, Rebeckah McPherson b. 2 May 1802, and Samuel Rennells McPherson b. 2 Oct 1805. This is the death date recorded in our family bible and it also means that she died about six months after the birth of her son, Moses II, who was born in March of 1827.
