John McPhersonís Will Proved 11 January 1763 Recorded Book D Page 390 Examined NO# 2052 Be it remembered that I John McPherson of the Township of Sadsbury in the County Of Chester & Province of Pennsylvania being weAR in body but in perfect mind and Memory thanks be given to God for the same. Do make Constitute and ordain this my last Will & testament. & First and chiefly I recommend my spirit to God who gave it me & My body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion Of my Executors hereafter named. Item it is my will and orders that all my just debts Together with my funeral expenses be first paid by my executors after my decease. Item I give and bequeath to my loving wife the sum of one hundred pounds lawful money Together with all my household furniture (excepting the clock) also the whole benefit of My lodging room and keeping of one cow & as much provisions as is necessary for her Table during her natural life but if my wife should marry after my decease then it is my will That my wife quit her claim to my lodgingt room likewise her table necessaries as mentioned Above. . I also give & bequeath unto my wife my sorrel mare -- Item I give & bequeath Unto my beloved son Alexander the plantation whereon I now dwell to him& his lawful heirs & Assigns. Also my clock Item I give & bequeath unto my beloved son Robert the plantation Whereon he now dwells to him & his lawful heirs & assigns Item I further give & bequeath unto My sons Alexander & Robert all that Plantation or track of land I purchased from Samuel Williamís to them & their lawful heirs & assign to be in full position of Alexander and or Robert Until -- such time as my son John personally appear and demand the Plantation, and When he does appear & demand the Plantation. Then it is my will that my sons Alexander And Robert or their lawful heirs do peaceably & quietly yield & give up the same unto my son John Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter in law Saraht the sum of ten pounds lawful Money to be paid to her in one year after my decease, and if any money is remaining of my Personal estate after my leagues & bequeathments are fully paid then it is my will and I order That The same be equally divided between my beloved wife & my Sons Alexander & Robert Item I Order & appoint my Beloved wife and my Beloved Sons Alexander and Robert solo Executors Executrixt of this my last will & testament and no other persons whatsoever revoking & Disallowing all and every other further will or wills testament or testamentst leagues or bequeaths or Executors by me made named consuetude or appointed. Do Ratify and confirm this my last will & testament in witness whereof I have here unto set my handtt & Seal this Twenty Third day of November in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred Sixty-two 1762.
