a. Note:   The Shelby Republican Friday, July 29, 1898 Page 1, column 7 ---------- Frederick F. Hobbs died at the home of his son, Thomas Hobbs, in Hendricks township, at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28, after a long and painful illness, aged 77 years and two days. He served in the war of the Rebellion in Co. I 42nd Ind. Vol. He was a member of the M. E. Church also of the I.O.O.F. of Windfall, Indiana, to where the remains will be taken for interment, leaving this city on the 8 o'clock train Friday morning, July 29. He leaves seven children, five daughters and two sons. His wife died twenty-two years ago. Edwards & Hageman have charge of the funeral. Submitted by Barb Huff
