The I.G.I.has come up with three possible dates for John and Margaretswedding: 15th December 1854 at Fordyce, 23rd December 1854 or4th January 1855. John at some point may have changed his nameto Featch as his decendents last names are spent this way. ASource (Norma Dix) a direct decendent from John states that afamily dispute was the result of this name change. Death alsorecorded as 28.1.1880. The family was living at 14 Chapel St.,Portsoy, Fordyce, Banff. in the 1861 census & later at LintMill, Boyndie, Banff. in 1871, although Charles was recorded atSummertown, Fordyce & Isabella at Chalmers Hospital, Banff.Banff. as a patient. No idea where Margaret was? Margaret, nowa widow, was living at 4 Gallowhill St., Banff. Banff. in the1881 census with children: Isabella, Sarah, Elizabeth & Elsie.The 1891 census records her & dau. Elsie living in the samestreet, although #6. I couldn't find Margaret in 1901.
