  The Snyder (Schneider) family came from Hoffen, Alsace, Bas-Rhin, France, 1838. 12 Dec 1882, Hiram Snyder ws married to Fannie Keller. She was born at Franklin Twp, Summit Co, Ohio, 26 Jun 1858, and resided on Vanderhoof Rd. in Franklin Township. They had five children: Eva, born 10 Oct 1885, married Carl Pfaffle, 10 Aug 1911, and had two girls: Emma and Evelyn Anita; Franklin, born 25 May 1887, married Nellie Zimmerman, 18 Mar 1916, and had a son Harry Wilson Snyder; Michael Emanuel (25 Mar 1887-25 Mar 1887); Robert B. (26 Jul 1888 - 10 May 1889); Howard Adam, born 28 Nov 1889, married Allie Lepley, 9 Oct 1919, and had a son Howard Adam, jr.
  The wife Fannie Keller died young in 17 Mar 1894. Hiram Snyder married secondly Mary Limbach, 12 Dec 1895, daughter of German immigrant Henry Limbach and his wife Elizabetha Lutz.
