Note: Obituary Dorthy M. Banta Bookeeper Dorthy M. Banta 94 Passed away February 14, in Stockton. Dorthy was born in San Francisco November 4, 1913. She resided in Manteca for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Eleanor Banta. She is survived by Nephew James D. Havey of Manteca, Niece Arlis V. Himmelman of Rancho Murieta, and Niece Marilyn Kalfatis of San Ramon. Dorthy was a bookeeper at Stockton Plating Works for over 20 years. She actually drove an Army Supply Truck During World War 2. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and the St. Vicent de Paul Society of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Manteca. She enjoyed Traveling and Reading. Dorthy was a loving daughter, sister and Aunt and she was a good friend to all who knew her. A rosary takes place Tuesday, February 19, at 7:00 P.M. at P.L. Fry Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 29, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial is Private.
