Note:   According to the 1910 Meigs County, Ohio Census, Melissa is the mother of only one child, Effie. Apparently the record does not reflect her illegitimate born son, Clarence.
  In the 1920 Athens County, Ohio Census, Melissa works as a laundress.
  In the 1930 Meigs County, Ohio Census. Albert and Melissa and their family reside in Middleport. Albert is the proprietor of a second hand store and Melissa is a laundress at private homes.
  According to her obituary, Melissa was survived by the following:
  "...her husband, Albert Logan; two daughters, Mrs. Veecher [sic - it's "Beecher"] Kessinger, Middleport and Mrs. Robert Hardy, Port Arthur, Tex.; three sons, Homer Logan, Athens, Delmar Logan at home, and Clarence Frost, a son by a former marriage, Athens, and the following sisters and brother:
  Mrs. Edgar Burton, Coolville; Mrs. Rosetta Rathburn, Albany; Mrs. Clarence Bolin, Albany; Mrs. Delno Bretz, Athens; Mrs. Ida Williams, Columbus and W. D. Frost, Pierre, S. D.
  Seven grandchildren also survive." Mellisa resided at 32 S. Shannon Avenue in Athens, Athens County, Ohio and she was buried from the Middleport Christian Church, Middleport, Meigs County, Ohio.
  The informant for Melissa's death certificate is her husband, Albert Logan. The record identifies him as her husband and identifies her parents as "Lester Frost" and "Nancy Howard", both born in Athens County, Ohio. The cause of death was "Cerebral Hemorrhage Due to Hypertension Arterio-sclerosis". She died at her home at 32 Shannon Avenue in the city of Athens where she had lived for 5 years as of that time.
