Note:   According to The Martin Family(1980), Charles and Delilah resided for a short time at Copperas Fork, a tributary of the Guyandotte River in Logan County, West Virginia.
  In 1881, they lived in Silverton, Jackson County, West Virginia. By January 1888, they had moved to Nelsonville, York Township, Athens County, Ohio and, in 1895, they lived in Dover Township, Athens County, Ohio.
  On 27 April 1900, Charles bought his first property in Floodwood, York Township, Athens County and then bought the adjacent lot 18 April 1910. He sold both of the above lots 3 February 1913 and the land was said to be owned as of 1980 by The Southern Electric Power Company. On 19 February 1913, Charles bought a house in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio, where he lived until his death.
  Charles operated a pool hall in Floodwood for many years.
  In the 1910 Athens County, Ohio Census, the widowed Charles and his children, Clyde, Oma, and Osby, reside in York Township. Charles is a farmer. The record states that his father was born in Ohio and that his mother was born in West Virginia.
  The informant for Charles' death certificate was his son, Clyde Martin. The record identifies his parents as "Harry Martin" and "Elizabeth Hider", both born in Ohio. Charles was a widowed retiree at the time of his death which was due to cirrhosis of the liver.
