  Susan's obituary in the Thursday, 2 January 1936 The Alliance Review (Alliance, Stark County, Ohio) is as follows:
  "MRS. SUSAN MILLER"
  "Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Miller, 75, of 922 East Grant Street, widow of the late Charles F. Miller, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sharer Funeral Home, South Union Avenue and Milner, in charge of Rev. J. V. Stpehens Jr., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the Sharer Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will bemade in Mount Union Cemetery. Mrs. Miller passed away at the Alliance City Hospital Wednesday at 9:40 a.m. after an illness of one week.
  Born in the vicinity of Homeworth, she had lived in Alliance 33 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Callahan of the home and two brothers, Daniel Freshley of East Rochester and Jesse Freshley of Homeworth."
